我這兩天心神恍惚，竟然忘記了今天是聖母蒙召升天的慶日，沒有參與彌撒！補救的方法是立刻搜尋整年與聖母有關的慶節，好能提醒自己，原來恭敬聖母的慶日在一年間至少有15日之多。

基督耶穌是我們與天父間唯一的中保，「天主只有一個，在天主與人之間的中保也只有一個，就是降生成人的基督耶穌，他奉獻了自己，為眾人作贖價：這事在所規定的時期已被證實」（弟前2:5-6）。天主教教會推崇敬禮聖母的禮儀與善工，鼓勵信友敬愛聖母瑪利亞，好能效法她的芳表，藉此認識、愛慕、光榮基督，並遵行祂的誡命，以光榮至聖不可分離的天主聖三。
聖母瑪利亞因聖神受孕、誕下聖子耶穌、撫養祂成人、在耶穌的傳教歷程中默默支持著祂、見證基督的死亡和復活。在耶穌升天後，她以服從、信德、希望和熾熱的愛情，維繫著門徒及信眾，專務祈禱等待聖神的降臨。聖母瑪利亞是眾人的母親，也是教會的母親。在世間能與天主如斯超絕地合作的人，除聖母瑪利亞外，試問誰人能及呢？教會舉揚她並賦予她特殊的地位是理所當然的。
還記得在到訪雅典的天主教 St. Denis 主教座堂時，我遇上一位先生，他向我遞上一份有關聖母職分的簡介，我現搬字過紙放於網誌上與大家分享，願能仿效瑪利亞無悔地追隨主耶穌。
The six alphabetical meaning of the word MOTHER.
M – MENTOR = Mentor is an experience person who advise and help somebody with less experience over a period of time. Mother’s duty of helping and nurturing life started from the beginning moment of conception of her baby, and throughout his/her infant age.
O – OVERSEER = Overseer is a person who look after a group of people and to make sure they are doing things accordingly. Mother’s divine knowledge of known keeps families in peace, love and healthy.
T – TEACHER = Teacher is a person who’s job is to teach someone with less knowledge about anything else. Mother’s divine knowledge of known how best of teaching, and to bring up life to human standard particularly at infant stage.
H – HONOR = Honor is something which has great respect and admiration. This goes to all women of every type, every age. This is what God makes you to be by creating you as a woman, too weak in appearance but with great divine strength in giving birth to their babies. Son’s and daughter’s of the Lord descendants of his servant Abraham here on earth. I think it’s an honor to you as our mothers. It’s a natural gift from God to you all but it can be so. If you can acknowledge your dignity as a woman and mother whom God have trusted the duty of honoring and respecting any life He sent forth here on earth through your womb as from moment of conception and during infant age.
E – EDUCATOR = Educator is a person who is an expert both theory and methods to lecture someone who hadn’t got knowledge about one particular subject. Mother’s divine ability to educate any young life and nurture her with knowledge of life so that they can have knowledge about life.
R – RESERVOIR = Reservoir is a place where something can be reserved and kept for a purpose. Mother’s divine gift has to economize family “financially”. And also means womb of women the tabernacle where human life can be preserved and develop before been born out here on earth. And it needs you a woman and mother to guide and protect that life from her moment of conception so that they can live and be born like us in order to enjoy life for a purpose. And they are your proud and happiness in life as woman and mother!
Mothers,
Life is sacred, life is a mystery and so precious. Mothers of all type, this six alphabetical meaning of the word MOTHER which you read from here is six virtues in your life as a woman giving to you by God our father.
Now, who are these we can call mothers? All women are mothers. You all share the same simple motherhood as a woman. In God sight you all are mothers of the earth so far he has created you as a woman right from your mother’s womb. This is why the Lord normally addresses to any of you he met as daughter. And we all know daughter means a female child. And female means a living being who can give birth to another being. So therefore, daughters of all type, be glad and be so happy “God loves you” by creating you as a woman. You are noble creatures in God hard work here on earth. His mercy, love and favor always before you. Among everything he created here on earth you are so precious among them all in his sight. And you all share this great favor from God as a woman through her holy mother “virgin & mother “ who gave birth to him here on earth and nurse him as a sweet mother. And all this favor of God I remind to you from here you have as being a woman and mother. Will be true to you if you can try and maintain these six virtues in your life as a woman “Mothers of the Nation”.
Mary, Mother of God and Mother of all Mothers, Queen of Heaven and Earth, let us honor her! Let us reference her! She is worth to be honored!
